So about the impending restrictions on loans.



A thought just occurred to me. What is to stop clubs "selling" young players to other clubs with a buyback clause? Essentially it would be a loan in everything but name.

obviously there would be some extra difficulties and risks. The fees wouldn’t be as great as a lot of the clubs wouldn’t be able to afford high fees... say for example the loan was going to be for £5 mill then bought for £10 mill and sold back to us for £5 mill. But then a lot of clubs that could have afforded the loan may not be able to spare the £10 mill even short term. There is also the risk of the player deciding he doesn’t want to come back. Or deciding he now wants more money. And probably a whole host of other problems. So fee free to tear this idea apart and tell me what else I have missed.
