WATCH: Pulisic scores fantastic goal for BVB

Eden who?

Borussia Dortmund may have ended up losing in a penalty shootout in their Last 16 match against Werder Bremend today (Tuesday) in the DFB Pokal, but the 120 exciting minutes on offer included this tremendous goal from future Chelsea legend Christian Pulisic.

The 20-year-old started the move by getting to a loose ball first, and immediately driving at the opposition, cutting through their midfield like butter. A slick 1-2 with striker Paco Alcacer and a composed finish later, Pulisic was off to celebrate in front of the Yellow Wall, showing that he’s still dedicated to their cause even though he’s leaving in the summer for Chelsea in a €64m transfer.

Pulisic, who was making his first start since the winter break — 21st appearance (12 starts), with 4 goals and 4 assists on the season — earned strong reviews for his overall performance, too, even if the team eventually suffered the penalty heartbreak (Pulisic was not among the four takers for BVB).

Obviously this is just one game and one play, but it should serve as a reminder that much is expected from the Great American Hope ... and much will be needed if Eden Hazard is in fact set to leave.
