Chelsea 3-0 Malmö FF, Europa League: Post-match reaction

WINNER WINNER TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS DINNER

Malmo started brightly and aggressively in both halves, but could not find a breakthrough and Chelsea’s individual qualities eventually shone through.

The first-half was more than forgettable, but there were some good moments in the second half, certainly for the first goal and after Malmo were reduced to 10 men (9 not injured) and there were acres of space to be found all over the pitch.

After we found the breakthrough, it was always going to be a question of just how many Chelsea would be willing to score. Bengtsson’s red card only brought that question into greater focus. The answer would eventually be 3 on the day, 5-1 on aggregate.

Job done and Chelsea are into the last 16.

Carefree.

  • Hudson-Odoi finally gets a start! Christensen does, too, while RLC and Ampadu get minutes from the bench. Academy day!
  • Giroud & Barkley score in both legs!
  • Round of 16 draw is tomorrow, Friday, February 22.
