WATCH: Chelsea loanee Victor Moses turns into Eden Hazard, scores his first Fenerbahce goal

G’wan, Victor!

All Victor Moses ever needs is a chance. Benítez gave him one. So did Conte. Mourinho never did. Neither did Sarri. Certainly not too many.

Fenerbahce, desperate for better times, have given him two in two, both 25-minute substitute opportunities. In the second of those two, Victor Moses turned into Eden Hazard, tried some fancy skills, and more importantly, scored Fener’s second goal of the night to seal their 2-0 victory over Göztepe.

Even more importantly, Fenerbahce have won both games since Moses joined at the end of the January transfer window, rising to mid-table after sitting unthinkably deep in the Turkish Süper Lig for a fair while. It’s been a downright terrible season for one of the biggest teams in the country, but perhaps they can recover to a more familiar position in the table by the end of the season.

Moses is just at the start of an 18-month loan journey at Fenerbahce.

“I’m so happy. I scored my first goal for the team. I hope I manage to score a lot more goals. We’ll continue our work. My teammates are very good. Everyone works very well. Everyone gives me great affection, very good support. I can feel it when I’m on the field. I want to help my team, contribute. We showed great character. We saw how happy everyone was tonight.”

If he keeps this up, he might just have some more fun times in front of the raucous locals.
