Christian Pulisic has played a grand total of just 23 minutes in Chelsea’s last three games, and while he was part of the matchday squad against Spurs (when he was an unused substitute) and Southampton (when he played the aforementioned 23 minutes, but clearly should’ve been used more), he was completely missing against Arsenal this weekend.
Chelsea’s official explanation was that he tweaked his hamstring and was thus left out as precaution.
Reason Pulisic is not involved for Chelsea today is because he suffered a hamstring injury running/training after the Southampton game. It's precautionary at this stage.

But after starting 12 games in a row in all competitions, and being one of Chelsea’s best players over that span, people started to notice (especially across the pond where Christian Pulisic is soccer-god).
Fortunately, Pulisic has allayed any fears that his hamstring will keep him out for too long, responding to a Yahoo story that he’s “100 per cent healthy”.
100% healthy but thank you guys for the concern

This of course has now led to speculation that Lampard is just being anti-American or some other assorted nonsense (like earlier this season), because people apparently don’t understand what precautionary means and the Internet is a strange place largely devoid of common sense.
In any case, good news from the 21-year-old then, who hopefully will be ready to go on Wednesday, when we travel to Brighton bright and early in the New Year.
