This is actually fairly old news, but I’m a sucker for stories of N’Golo Kante loving or at least very much liking life at Chelsea, so here it goes.
As we might recall, Paris Saint-Germain have incessantly pursued N’Golo over the past couple years, especially in the wake of him winning the World Cup with France in 2018. But despite the relentless transfer rumors, the only thing Kante did that summer was to relax and get ready to sign a new five-year contract with Chelsea. He did confirm a rejected approach from PSG just prior to that, and he once again relayed that story in a recent interview with Canal+.
“Sometimes we do not necessarily know where we want to go, but we know what we have. I know I was in Chelsea and I was good there.
“If I did not want to come to PSG it was more a sporting choice. I felt good in London, in the project and I was happy to stay there.”

In short, N’Golo Kante is ours, and you can’t have him. Not even you, Real Madrid, who have replaced PSG in the Kante rumor mill this year. (Hopefully.)
