October was a good month at Chelsea Football Club; great, even, if we only look at Premier League results. And since the Premier League only cares about Premier League results, and the Premier League awards only care about the Premier League results, we’ve got some Premier League award nominations due to our Premier League results. Hurray for our Premier League results!
First up, the man in charge, Frank Lampard. He was already nominated for September Manager of the Month, but he really didn’t have any chance of winning that one. But this time around, with the best record of any of the five nominees — 3 wins from 3, with 9 scored and just 3 conceded — he should surely be winning this one, even if we discount the achievement due to the relatively easy strength of schedule. The other nominees include Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp (2 wins, 1 draw), Brighton’s Graham Potter (2 wins, 1 loss), Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers (2 wins, 1 loss), and Aston Villa’s Dean Smith (2 wins, 1 loss).
Be sure to vote for SuperFrank!

Of course, Lampard’s success is enabled by the players, and one of them has been recognized for his stellar play this month as well. Come on up, Willian, and take a bow!
The veteran Chelsea winger is one of six nominees for the October Player of the Month award. The others are Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City), Dean Henderson (Sheffield United), Youri Tielemeans and Jamie Vardy (both Leicester City). It’s a tough crowd but Willian might have a fighting chance.
