1. WILLIAN (8.4)

Minutes: 90
Touches: 70
Passes: 40*/51
Shots: 0/2
Take-ons: 0/2
Fouls drawn: 3
Tackles+Blocks: 4+1

Frank Lampard called him Chelsea’s best over the past 4-5 games, and against Saints on Sunday, the community agreed as well. Willian may not have actually gotten on the scoresheet, but he picked up the assist on Mason Mount’s goal and was excellent with and without the ball. Chelsea’s new No.10 is living up to the number on his back.

2. TAMMY ABRAHAM (8.1)

Minutes: 82
Touches: 23
Passes: 4/10
Shots: 3*/3
Take-ons: 0/1
Aerial duels won: 3
Clearances+Blocks: 1+1

We’ve had a few strikers start very strongly indeed in their Chelsea careers in recent seasons, with both Diego Costa and Álvaro Morata scoring for fun at the beginning. Their careers diverged sharply after the first couple months however. Hopefully the path that Tammy’s carving out — top of the charts alongside Sergio Agüero with 8 goals in the league — ends up a lot closer to the former than the latter.

3. JORGINHO (7.8)

Minutes: 90
Touches: 81
Passes: 61/70
Take-ons: 1/1
Fouls drawn: 2
Tackles+INTs+Blocks: 4+2+2
Goal-line clearances: 1

Vice-captain Jorginho’s redemption arc has been a wonderful B-story to the youth revolution’s A-story so far this season. On Sunday, he was once again here, there, everywhere in midfield, collecting a couple secondary assists at one end and putting in a goal-saving clearance at the other.
