Pulisic, Miazga called up to USMNT for CONCACAF Nations League

Pulisic out of the basket

Mexico v United States

It’s only been a month since the last international break... and international matches are back! (Do try to contain your excitement.)

The US Men’s National Team announced their latest squad yesterday; unsurprisingly, both Christian Pulisic and Matt Miazga were selected for the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League matches against Cuba and Canada.

For Pulisic, these two matches present an opportunity to be freed from the metaphorical basket and get some minutes. Since returning from the last international break, he’s been an unused substitute in three Premier League games and made only one appearance, going the full 90 against Grimsby Town. He wasn’t even in the matchday squad yesterday!

For Miazga, he’s only returned to fitness. He started the first five games for Reading but got hit with the injury bug for the month of September. He was an unused substitute in the last match, against Fulham.

Hopefully the Chelsea duo can use the international matches to build up form and fitness for the long season ahead!

The US squad is as follows:
