First (of many) Man of the Match awards then for Christian Pulisic, who’s put three back-to-back-to-back impactful, even game-changing performances off the bench. The question then becomes, is he going to extrapolate that into impactful performances as a starter (if/when those opportunities come), or is he going to André Schürrle it?

2. MICHY BATSHUAYI (8.1, sub)

Minutes: 21
Touches: 12
Passes: 5/7
Shots: 3*/4

Michy becomes the first player on the team this season to have scored in three different competitions. He also led the team in shots despite playing barely over 20 minutes. It’s too bad he’s going to start agitating for a move ahead of the summer’s Euro 2020 — having a natural born finisher on the bench is not a bad thing to have, at all.

Captain Dave is the best of the rest, though everyone was good except maybe Willian. He seemed a bit off key even through the audio commentary that I had to make do with as I was exploring the wild wild west this week. (It wasn’t a terrible option by any means, especially with Pat Nevin providing color/analysis.)

GOOD (7.0-7.9): Azpilicueta (7.9), Jorginho (7.6), Tomori (7.6), Zouma (7.5), Kovačić (7.5), Alonso (7.1), Mount (7.0), Arrizabalaga (7.0)

AVERAGE (6.0-6.9): Hudson-Odoi (6.3), Abraham (6.3), James (6.2, sub), Willian (6.0)

POOR (5.0-5.9): —

BAD (4.0-4.9): —
