I’ve been trying to figure out how many players actually traveled to Lille with Chelsea, but so far, the only thing I’ve been able to confirm is that 24 players trained at Cobham on Tuesday morning, before the team jetted off. The only players missing were Antonio Rüdiger, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Emerson Palmieri. We can probably safely assume that most, if not all 24 traveled with the team.
In any case, the training session itself went as well as one might imagine before an important European night, with plenty of time for serious business and a bit of fun as well.
I should say too that the atmosphere in training today - despite the heavy rain - was very good. The Chelsea players were all smiling and laughing with each other and really seemed to be enjoying themselves. #CFC

The full video is worth watching for the aforementioned fun drill, which was also highlighted by Chelsea’s Instagram story. It starts around the 10-minute mark, and involves some agility and cones. Always fun to see who the most competitive players appear to be in these sort of things, and it’s safe to say that Azpilicueta and Abraham are right near the top, with Jorginho not far behind.
