Two wins from two games over the past seven days for Chelsea, but things get a bit tougher now as the Blues travel the short distance across the Channel to Lille for a Champions League test on Wednesday night. Lille have lost just twice at home since the start of last season, and that includes a 5-1 win over PSG back in April.
To keep the momentum going, Chelsea will undoubtedly need to rotate a little bit from Saturday’s 2-0 win. The question, as ever, is how much and whom.
Emerson and Antonio Rudiger are not expected back until after the international break, but Chelsea should be able to welcome back Kurt Zouma, who missed the last game due to illness, and perhaps N’Golo Kanté as well. Lampard has made it quite clear that he doesn’t want to rush our most important player back too quickly, regardless of the importance of this game but whether that remains true in practice is another question however.
