LIVE BLOG:

90min - Fernando Llorente replaces Christian Eriksen, presumably to run down the clock among other things.

87min - Chelsea have been putting the pressure on (no pun intended) for the last ten minutes or so, but it’s come to no avail, save for some wayward attempts and nearly-moments.

78min - Erik Lamela is brought on for Son, as Hudson-Odoi’s place is taken by Olivier Giroud.

75min - Kovacic replaces Barkley.

74min - There can never truly be enough long shots in a match, so Jorginho decides to chip in with a shot that’s quite high above the goal.

72min - Calls for handball, as a Hazard shot strikes the arm of Alderweireld but it isn’t given a second glance.

62min - Willian hasn’t been very good, he’s replaced by Pedro, who switches flanks with Hudson-Odoi.

61min - Hazard tries to do it all on his own, taking on two defenders and releasing a very wayward shot at goal.

57min - Christensen chances upon a loose ball following a corner but catches it all sorts of wrong. A golden chance.

53min - The Chelsea players are lining up with long shots, it’s Kante’s next and it draws a bit more of a save from the Spurs ‘keeper.

53min - Hazard feints right, getting away from Eriksen and creates space to shoot from outside the box. Unfortunately, it’s straight at Gazzaniga.

51min - Harry Kane unleashes a well-struck effort from outside the penalty area, it’s saved by Kepa.

46min: No changes from either side. A misplaced pass from Barkley almost sees Son through, but Rudiger tackles excellently to deprive him of possession.

HT: Spurs go into the break with the goal advantage. Chelsea have had more possession, attempts from distance and a couple of rattlings of the woodwork.

45+1min - Hudson-Odoi’s cross takes a deflection off Danny Rose and nearly sneaks past Gazzaniga.

40min - Callum Hudson-Odoi tries curling one into the top-right corner with his left foot but it goes over.

39min - N’Golo Kante, a common attacking outlet these days, hits the post from the verge of the six-yard area after receiving an Alonso cross.

36min - The ball is worked to Willian in a great position down the right but his cross fails to find a player in blue.

34min - N’Golo Kante is the next one to shoot from distance. The result is the same.

26min - Harry Kane converts from the spot. Spurs are in the lead after a VAR-assisted penalty.

25min - VAR is consulted, and not only is the offside revoked but a penalty is awarded as well. Arrizabalaga is shown a yellow card.

23min - Tottenham are clearly taking the long route through Chelsea’s defence this evening. Kane and Eriksen seem to be in a 2-on-1 situation with Kepa but it’s flagged as offside after the onrushing ‘keeper brought Eriksen down.

20min - Another shot on target by Chelsea, this time it’s Hazard whose long-ranged shot is deflected into the hands of Gazzaniga.

17min - A period of relative inaction ends with a wild, left-footed Barkley volley heading to row Z

6min - Willian switches the play beautifully to find Hudson-Odoi in some space. The young winger advances and shoots from an angle but it doesn’t trouble Gazzaniga too much.

4min - Kepa makes the first save of the match, comfortably stopping Harry Kane’s overhead kick.

2min - Christensen does well to stop Son from scoring, as the striker is set through on goal from a Dele Alli long ball. Or so it seemed, but replays suggest that Chelsea were lucky to get away with that tackle going unpunished.

0min - Tottenham kick the semi-final off.
