Chelsea not looking to sell Tammy Abraham — reports

But a return to Premier League football could still be possible this season?

According to reports from Sky Sports and Goal, Chelsea are not interested in selling young striker Tammy Abraham. Chelsea are, however, attentive to potential loan offers coming from Premier League clubs.

Tammy is currently wreaking havoc at the Championship with Aston Villa, as he did in his first professional season while playing on loan for Bristol City two years ago. He currently leads the competition’s goalscoring charts with 16 in 20 appearances, including a four-goal performance against Chelsea’s upcoming opponent, Nottingham Forest in a 5-5 thriller back in November.

His performances have understandably piqued the interest of Premier League clubs such as Crystal Palace (who are also linked with another Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi), Huddersfield, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton. The latter were the centre of conflicting rumours yesterday, some of which went even as far as claiming that Chelsea had accepted an £18 million bid for the 21-year-old. Fortunately, it appears that Chelsea are doing no such

Keeping Abraham at Villa, where he seems happy and where they are happy with him (and built the team around him) and where he’s finding plenty of success, surely remains the best course of action.
