FULL-TIME: Little else of note happened to save the team from this latest embarrassment.

79min: Emerson wins a corner and this time Chelsea fashion a chance, but Azpi’s header is saved very well by Boruc. Chelsea have another corner, but this time Bournemouth clear. Their counter is stopped by Kante.

78min: Hazard returns the favor and sets up RLC, but his shot drifts well wide of the far post.

77min: Loftus-Cheek on for Kovacic in Chelsea’s final change. Sets up Hazard straight away but his shot is blocked for a corner, which Bournemouth clear.

74min: And now it’s 3-0 as King scores again. Shades of last season.

69min: Steve Cook is the latest to hurt himself for Bournemouth.

66min: Chelsea turn the ball over in midfield again, but this time Bournemouth waste the counter and Kepa collects. Brooks picks up an injury during the play and is replaced by Ibe.

65min: Giroud on for Higuain.

63min: Willian with a third corner in short succession, cleared with ease again. Chelsea have it back, but the pattern is unchanged. Until David Luiz gives the ball away in a very bad position, and Brooks and Bournemouth make us pay again. Brooks looked offside, but no flag was coming. On replay, it looks a good decision as Rudiger had dropped deep. 2-0, Bournemouth.

61min: Chelsea win a corner, which substitute Willian takes with this first touch. Bournemouth clear again, then again.

58min: Pedro finds Kante making the perfect run but Kante’s first touch is terrible and Boruc collects. Should’ve been a goal.

57min: Pass pass pass pass long shot. Boruc saves easily from Pedro.

54min: Bournemouth continuing to play well. Fraser called offside to avert any further danger for Chelsea, who need to improve markedly.

49min: Bournemouth clear another Hazard free kick. Chelsea have it all to do.

47min: GOAL, Bournemouth. Brooks creates, King shoots, and scores. Emerson destroys the offside trap to keep Brooks onside. Home side leads, 1-0.

46min: And we’re back! No changes at the half for either side. Meanwhile, Spurs are losing at the half to Watford. Opportunity!

HALF-TIME: Chelsea with all the possession, hitting the crossbar once, but Bournemouth with the best chance of the night late on in the half. Need a bit of cutting edge from the Blues.

45+2min: Half-time after a Pedro half-chance goes wide.

45+1min: Hazard and Higuain combine through the middle but the bounce is unlucky and Boruc collects.

44min: Hazard pops up on the right side, but the results stay the same as Bournemouth clear and counter. King drives forward at pace and finds Stanislas, but his finish is straight at Kepa who punches it clear and far away.

40min: Chelsea back to dominating possession, but settle for another long shot, this time from Hazard. Boruc takes it well into his stomach.

38min: Brooks wins the ball off Hazard in the center and drives forward, trying his luck from 20 yards. Kepa saves. At the other end, Hazard finds Azpilicueta again, who takes it with his left(!) and tries an audacious curler that draws a great save from Boruc.

37min: Hazard cauves havoc in the center and finds Azpi wide, but his cross is cut out by Ake with Pedro waiting to score.

34min: Bournemouth break through the high press, and King finds Brooks with a great ball, but the youngster dallies on the ball and Emerson pinches it off his toe. Bournemouth keep the ball alive but Kepa saves from Brooks this time. Best chance of the match for either side.

28min: Azpilicueta puts in a tremendous cross, but for once, there’s no one in the box. Chelsea with extreme amounts of possession, but not creating enough shots.

25min: David Luiz breaks the lines with a great daisy-cutting pass, Hazard turns and finds Pedro, who cuts inside but his finish is right at the goalkeeper who catches easily. Best chance for the Blues yet.

23min: Chelsea continue to look for Higuain, but the timing is slightly off and he’s called offside again. Pedro then wins a free kick in another great crossing position, but it’s cleared easily.

19min: Bournemouth get a brief breather as Kante’s called for a dubious foul. Blues creating decent looks but nothing too cutting edge yet.

17min: Game settles in the usual pattern as Chelsea probe and probe and probe and the opposition look to counter.

16min: Chelsea win a corner after a bit of possession. Hazard goes short and is offside on the return ball to waste the opportunity completely.

11min: King makes another good run, but Rudiger and Kante on hand to corral him. Hazard takes aim from distance at the other end, but Boruc saves.

8min: Jorginho wins a free kick in a good crossing position. Hazard takes, David Luiz collects at the far post and pings it back, but Bournemouth clear.

6min: Pedro gives the ball away, but Chelsea recover well and David Luiz clears with his feet. Chelsea come forward create a great chance, but Kovacic hits the bar with a diving header! No luck for him or the Blues.

3min: Hazard and Higuain combine but Bournemouth clear and drive forward. A Josh King piledriver hits David Luiz in the head and literally knocks him out. Trainers on with concussion suspected.

KICK-OFF: All the pre-match attention on Hudson-Odoi’s whereabouts, bu tnow it’s time to concentrate on the football itself. Glorious orange socks for the Blues. And we’re off!

It’s a must-win for Chelsea to keep three points ahead of Arsenal in fourth.
