FT: The referee’s whistle signals the end of an abysmal Chelsea performance. The gap between 4th and 5th is now down to three points. Arsenal 2 - 0 Chelsea.
80min: Alonso unleashes a stinging effort but it's from too acute an angle, and doesn't really bother Leno.
77min: Hudson-Odoi replaces Pedro.
71min: Bellerin goes down clutching his knee, and is stretchered off. He's replaced by Elneny.
68min:M aitland-Niles and Iwobi replace Ramsey and Lacazette respectively, while Giroud comes on for Willian.
63min: Kolasinac does well to run up to the byline, in the area but shoots instead of trying to set up a teammate. Kepa saves. Meanwhile, Barkley replaces Kovacic.
55min: These first ten minutes had seen neither team create anything of note, until Willian’s squared pass found Pedro in some space at the edge of the area. He, however, fires into row Z.
45min: Chelsea get us underway.
HT: Arsenal 2 - 0 Chelsea. Uninspiring from the visitors.
45min: Alonso hits the post for the SEVENTH time this season, his well-taken header from a free-kick rattles the upright.
38min: Sokratis receives the ball following a free-kick, his shot on goal is miscued but somehow finds Koscielny in a lot of space, just in front of the goal. The center-back turns the ball in with his.. shoulder. Very unfortunate goal to concede. Arsenal 2 - 0 Chelsea.
36min: Aubameyang pulls off a scissor-kick from a Kolasinac cross. It’s wide, but not by much.
28min: Ramsey strikes well from far out but it’s straight at Kepa.
23min: Jorginho is the first Chelsea player to have a ping from distance. It’s comfortably above the frame. Wonder how many of those there’ll be today.
21min: A mishit cross from Lacazette almost turns into a shot on target.
17min: Chances at either end in quick succession. Aubameyang nicks the ball off Rudiger, advances in the Chelsea penalty area and has his shot saved by Kepa. Then, a sumptuous pass by David Luiz sees Pedro with a golden chance but it’s shot just wide.
13min: Lacazette receives a Bellerin cross with his back to goal, but turns past Pedro, holds off Alonso and scores from an acute angle. Arsenal 1 - 0 Chelsea.
11min: What a save by Kepa! He directs the ball above goal, saving a Koscielny header from point-blank range.
4min: Hector Bellerin’s weighted pass down the right sets Lacazette free ahead of Alonso, his cross for Aubameyang luckily isn’t the best, and Azpilicueta’s last-ditch tackle prevents an early Arsenal goal.
1min: Chelsea get off on the wrong foot, enduring a nervy opening minute after a couple of giveaways by Luiz and Jorginho in quick succession. Luckily, it remains scoreless.
Chelsea head across town to the Emirates Stadium today, with a golden opportunity to pull away from Arsenal in 5th place, and gain a comfortable nine-point lead over the Gunners.
