According to Belgium newspaper HLN, Chelsea star Eden Hazard did not train with the Belgium national team today (Wednesday), after training with the team yesterday (Tuesday). As if we did not have enough reasons to despise these international breaks...

There was no reason given to Eden’s absence, but he has not been ruled out of Friday’s friendly against Scotland just yet, unlike Crystal Palace’s Christian Benteke, Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini or Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet.

Of course, the reason for Hazard missing training could be a minor discomfort, or tiredness from the run of games to start the season. He had a limited number of days to prepare for the season following the World Cup, so some rest would not be surprising. The fact that he trained the day before however is a bit concerning.

Given how well things have started for Chelsea, the last thing we need is an injury to any key players, especially during internationals of little importance.
