Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool, Premier League: Post-match reaction

Feels like a defeat.

A largely even first half saw both teams miss a couple good chances. It also saw a goal line clearance from the returning Antonio Rüdiger and another goal from Eden Hazard.

The second half was an equally enthralling affair, with both sides missing glorious chances, both goalkeepers earning their world record transfer fees, and ... both defenses managing to keep the other side scoreless.

And then, Sturridge scored a ridiculous goal out of nowhere.

1-1. Feels like a bit of a defeat.

  • Chelsea back to the same lineup that drew only 0-0 with West Ham.
  • Morata for Giroud, Moses for Willian, Barkley for Kovačić — Sarri’s standard set of changes
  • Hazard’s 6th goal in 7 Premier League games to keep him top of the goalscoring charts
  • Chelsea remain third, two points behind both City and Liverpool.
  • Next up: Hungarian champions Vidi FC in the Europa League on Thursday
