In his first five La Liga matches, Michy Batshuayi had to settle for spotty minutes from the bench — a paltry 100 in total.
On Wednesday he got his first league start. And in the 25th minute, Michy did what Michy does: score a goal to give Valencia a 1-0 lead over Celta Vigo.
It’s his first goal for Los Murciélagos, but only his second start overall. Ten days ago, he went 70 scoreless minutes against Juventus in the Champions League.
May this be the first on many goals for the Batsman.
Here’s a fun statistical sidenote: Batshuayi’s become the first player this century to score a goal in the Premier League, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and now La Liga as well. Only Serie A’s missing!
Michy Batshuayi is the 1st player this century to score a goal in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga. #ValenciaCelta @mbatshuayi #YoCreoEnEsteEquipo @valenciacf #LaLiga
