If there’s one player in this Chelsea team, or even in the entire world of football, who you’d give the recognition of being the most humble, friendly and liable to give you an overload of cuteness, then I’d expect everyone to utter two words: N’Golo Kanté. Only shortly after being provided with his own song for all of his awesomeness shown during France’s World Cup win, the Frenchman has once again outdone himself by giving some fans the evening of their lives.
After reportedly missing his Euro Night train to Paris after Chelsea’s win against Cardiff City back on Saturday, the lovable midfielder decided to visit his local London mosque in order to pray. While doing so, he was approached by some fans who had a chat with him and subsequently thought they may as well give it a shot at asking Kanté whether he’d like to come back for dinner.
Being the amazing guy he is, the Frenchman accepted the invitation and joined the group for a Chicken curry, a few games of FIFA, and watching Match of the Day.
World Cup winner, former premier league player of the year, 2 time premiership winner casually joined us to watch MOTD after visiting a local mosque. True definition of being humble. What a man. pic.twitter.com/y14NanXKPn

What a guy! I mean, it simply doesn’t get any better than watching a video of N’Golo Kanté sitting on a random guy’s couch watching himself on Match of the Day. In addition to all that, he shows us his unbelievably contagious smile!

The (social) media landscape was naturally full of praise for Kanté as everyone can’t seem to get enough of Chelsea’s number 7, and deservedly so.

As fans, we should all be extremely grateful for having Kanté in our team and that we can call him one of our own. Let’s hope that last year’s Player of the Year will stay at Stamford Bridge for a very long time (preferably, for the rest of his career) and bless us with more moments of his endearing and down-to-earth nature.
If you’re ever looking for a place to crash, N’Golo, there’ll always be room for you in my flat.. just saying!
