WATCH: A Brief History of Maurizio Sarri

Wonderful video from Tifo Football on the Chelsea head coach

We’ve featured the work of Joe Devine and Tifo Football (previously called uMAXit Football) before — here’s one on the Loan Army, one on Conte’s 3-4-3, and one on 2015-16 finances — and they’re back with their latest effort, a lovely video on current Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and his rather unique personal story. (NB: Here’s the corresponding video on Conte from last year.)

You might already be familiar with Sarri’s player-to-banker-to-coach rise to glory from the depths of the Italian amateur ranks to the Premier League and one of the biggest teams in the world, but it’s still worth a watch for it’s excellent presentation. You might even learn a few things!

Tifo also did a feature on Jorginho recently, which is proving rather prescient after the first few weeks of the season (except Fàbregas’s importance, though it’s unclear how much his injury has contributed to Ross Barkley getting those chances instead — nor could they have foreseen the signing of Mateo Kovačić. In any case, be sure to check that out as well.

And if you’re still bored as we roll through a match-less midweek — take advantage of these while we can! — here’s one from last year on Abramovich, too.
