There aren’t many holes in Eden Hazard’s game. But he’s not flawless.
He’s not fond of too much defending, he’s allergic to playing centre-forward and, as what can be perceived as his biggest failure, he’s thought to be too unselfish and not greedy enough about taking his shot.
Now, we have to bear in mind that this is in the context of Eden bagging 59 goals in his last four seasons in all competitions. Fairly good numbers for any attacking player, but not for someone who carries so much talent and could be more of an influence on the pitch. More than anything, it’s an endorsement of his ability that we have this desire to see even more productivity out of him.
Well, Maurizio Sarri, a.k.a. Mister 33 for the 33 set-play routines he used to teach his players at the beginning of his career, apparently isn’t leaving things to chance. He’s making sure that Chelsea practice Eden screamers from the edge of the penalty arc.
He seems to be taking to it rather well, wouldn’t you say?
If you don’t agree, Frank Lampard thinks otherwise. Taking a break from training Derby, the once master of scoring screamers from the box and the vicinity around it handed Eden a passing score for the effort.

And Eden is certainly warming to the new coach. As we can see below, things are proceeding nicely.

Nobody knows how things are going to shake out this season, but expectations are surely high. Most people, including the gaffer, expect a slow start.
But with smiles blooming all over, this seems to be a happy bunch. That makes their work more productive. With a dash of luck, results will follow.
