Chelsea confirm Kepa, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Bakayoko shirt numbers

If you’re anxious to get a new fresh Mateo Kovacic jersey but are waiting for his squad number to be confirmed, never fear, because Chelsea have made that information official.

Kepa has assumed the #1 shirt from Willy Caballero, who inherited it from the likes of Petr Cech, Asmir Begovic and Ed de Goey. Caballero takes Courtois’ vacant #13, previously worn by Victor Moses, Michael Ballack, William Gallas and, briefly, Alex. Meanwhile, newest midfielder Mateo Kovacic takes the #17, a number previously taken by the likes of Mo Salah, Eden Hazard, Pedro, Charly Musonda, Jose Bosingwa and Scott Sinclair.
