Chelsea’s Belgium contingent are on their way to the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup after knocking out Brazil. Despite not featuring in the match, Michy Batshuayi still found a way to make an impact on the day using his extraordinary social media skills.
His Chelsea teammate Cesc Fabregas put out a post-match tweet engaging with his followers, asking which of the remaining Blues players would win the tournament.
So @thibautcourtois @hazardeden10 @mbatshuayi @nglkante @_OlivierGiroud_ or @GaryJCahill will win the World Cup, I’m confident of that. I know who it will be... What do you think?

When asked by a fan what he thought of Eden Hazard’s brilliant performance, Cesc responded by saying that he wasn’t able to watch it due to a travel conflict.
I was flying, landed only 45min ago.

Michy saw this as a perfect opportunity to break the news to his pal that he had heroically scored a hat trick to put his country into the last four of the World Cup, as we all were witnesses to.
I put three goals and you missed it ?!!! ❤️

Unfortunately for Michy, thanks to modern day technology, his fake reporting was easily sniffed out by the Spaniard.
Ahahaha ❤️

Cesc ended the fun back and forth with a nice supportive message for all of his Belgium friends on their long run in the tournament.
We start preseason tomorrow and you still haven’t finished last season. Proud of you boys.

Michy remains the best. Cesc isn’t too bad either.
