Chelsea may be getting a late start on things, but could be in for major changes this summer still, including at goalkeeper where Thibaut Courtois seems closer than ever to going back to Spain.
Accordingly, Chelsea have started looking for potential replacements, one of whom is rumored to be AS Roma's Alisson, who's currently at the World Cup with Brazil.
According to Roma-based newspaper Il Tempo (via Sport Witness), that hasn't stopped Chelsea from talking with his representatives to discuss the details of a potential move.
Chelsea are apparently offering €5.5 million per year in net wages, which is €500,000 above Real Madrid’s offer. Chelsea would have to still meet Roma's valuation, which remains in the €75-80 million range.
In the meantime, Alisson remains isolated from these issues. His sole focus is on the World Cup with the Brazilian national team, according to agent José Maria Neis.
“Nothing will happen in the next few days. Alisson is 100 per cent focused on the World Cup.”

No wonder Il Tempo claims the transfer, if it does take place, would only happen after the World Cup. And this is, of course, assuming Courtois will not renew his contract with Chelsea, forcing the Blues to sell him to the highest bidder which will presumably be Real Madrid.
