A rematch of their encounter in the group stage four years ago, which saw them battle to a 0-0 stalemate, Brazil and Mexico kick off today’s Round of 16 action in Russia.

Brazil are one of the favorites of course, even if they haven’t always shown that on the pitch, while Mexico are one of the biggest reasons Germany have already gone home. With skill and pace to burn, not to mention excellent goalkeeping, on either side, this could be another dramatic one.

Here we go.

Brazil starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Alisson | Filipe Luis, Miranda, Thiago Silva, Fagner | Casemiro, Paulinho | Neymar, Philippe Coutinho, Willian | Gabriel Jesus

Mexico starting lineup (4-3-3):
Ochoa | Gallardo, Salcedo, Ayala, Alvarez | Guardado, Marquez, Herrera | Lozano, Hernandez, Vela
