The time is here, the time is now. Good things come to those who wait and Chelsea fans sure have had to wait a long, long time but it’s time to bear the fruits of that patience. Napoli president and part-time James Bond villain, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has just confirmed that Chelsea is indeed close to landing Napoli manager and player duo, Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho.
De Laurentiis (Napoli president) has just announced: “Sarri is close to be new Chelsea manager. My lawyers are in talks with his lawyers to finalize everything” #Sarri #CFC #Napoli

So there we have it, ladies and gentlemen. Sarri is indeed going to be Chelsea’s next head coach and it seems that only a few formalities are left.
However, when it rains, it pours. ADL was probably feeling a little magnanimous today and decided to alleviate our pain in the Jorginho department as well by offering us even more good news! Give the man a Nobel prize.
According to the Napoli president, Manchester City had reached the agreement with Napoli 15 days ago but Chelsea, in fact, offered more to Napoli and the player himself, thereby making it a clear cut gazump. That’s the Chelsea we love! No more austerity.
De Laurentiis, Napoli president, about Jorginho: “I’m sorry with Manchester City because we reached an agreement for Jorginho 15 days ago. But Chelsea is going to offer more to Napoli and to Jorginho for his contract, so he’ll join Chelsea I guess”. #transfers #CFC #MCFC

So, here we go. Release the hype train. It’s time to let loose. It’s happening! The magic number, as reported by Fabrizio Romano is €65M (add ons included) which bifurcates to €57M for Jorginho and €8M for Sarri.
Hopefully, we’re able to announce both of them soon and move on to other targets.
P.S. Here are live images of WAGNH HQ:
Last but not the least, Jorginho’s scouting report is recommended reading if you’re looking to familiarise yourself with Chelsea’s (all but) first summer signing!
