How should Chelsea line up against Newcastle in final match of the Premier League season?

Last gasp

Chelsea v Newcastle United - The Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round

On Wednesday, Antonio Conte rotated his team, didn’t win the game and upset pretty much everyone. Never mind that Conte got the shape right and most of the players who started, including five non-injury enforced changes from the match three days prior (Morata, Pedro, Willian, Christensen, Zappacosta) were first-choice at one point or another this season, some not all that long ago either.

So now we’re down to a 2% chance of making the top four. Brighton must beat Liverpool at Anfield or it’s all over. We, of course, must do our bit as well. That means beating Newcastle at St. James’, never an easy job. In our last five there, we’re lost three, drawn one and won one.

Giroud and Hazard should be ready to go and presumably will be preferred over any other option. Given our record there and Conte’s comments about liking a three-man midfield against tough opponents, Bakayoko might be in for an encore after his sterling match against Liverpool.

But it’s not Conte making the selection in this thread. It’s you. So who’s in your starting XI?

Choose wisely.
