Michy Batshuayi, the Batsman, is apparently turning his back on DC Comics and signing with the Marvel franchise instead. We’ve been concentrating on the Michy-to-BVB rumors, so this other transfer has certainly come out of left field.
Here’s Michy in a neat little trailer to advertise the release of the latest Avengers movie, Infinity War, coming to a theater near you this week, probably.

We don’t know much about comic books or superheroes, but this feels rather unprecedented. Batman to Marvel would be the greatest betrayal since we were promised that the Superman vs. Batman movie would be good. Then again, can you blame the Dark Knight for wanting to move to a capable movie franchise instead? Especially if, as he says, it will help him prepare for the World Cup. Could certainly do some damage with Thor’s Hammer this summer.
What does this mean for Batshuayi’s Chelsea career? Probably nothing. We do have Captain Miazgamerica, after all (well, on loan), if the Batsman’s looking to hang out with some Marvel-ous players. (U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!)
