After some truly impressive displays up in the north, Chelsea's on loan winger Kenedy has been named Newcastle's “Fun88” player of the month for March after receiving around 58% of all votes. Not only is the youngster swiftly winning over the Toon faithful but he's also getting all the right headlines due to his excellent displays.

If Kenedy continues to perform as well as he's currently doing, it's very likely that plenty of clubs will come knocking in the summer, especially as several big names have already reportedly shown an interest in the 22-year-old. Recent rumours of the player not wanting to play under Conte anymore may also factor in if the Italian were to stay beyond the summer, though this is all purely speculation at this point.

Kenedy's featured a mere 7 times for Chelsea over the past two seasons, mostly in cup matches, after a much more promising debut season that included 20 appearances and game-time even in the Champions League knockout rounds. At Newcastle, the young Brazilian has started every single game since his arrival in January, almost always on the wing rather than at left back (the sole exception was the match against Liverpool).

Even though Newcastle may not be regarded as one of the 'Sky Six' nowadays, it's quite remarkable that yet another barely utilized player is sent on loan only to blossom and put in some fantastic shifts at a club not called Chelsea. It's almost as if these loanees are actually capable and only need to be given a chance?

In any case, here's hoping that Kenedy gets a genuine chance in the preseason coming up, and does well enough to feature in the plans of whoever will be in charge.

Congrats, Kenedy!
