Chelsea 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur, Premier League: Post-match reaction

New, comments

The darkest timeline.

Sooner or later it was going to happen. Streaks, like records, are meant to be broken.

Congrats to Spurs.

Chelsea confirmed that they’re only fifth best in the league this season. With an eight-point gap to make up to the top four in the remaining seven games, that’s probably not changing.

Welcome, Europa League.

All eyes on the FA Cup for now.

Chelsea didn’t play badly, but mistakes once again undid any good effort put in otherwise. Chelsea were wasteful, unorganized in crucial moments, and prone to periods of poor concentration. Morata did score a goal, so that’s something maybe.

When the story of the season is written, this game will be one of the biggest talking points.

It hurts, but we’ll move on. Eventually. We have a week to stew over this before West Ham come to town next Sunday for yet another London derby.

Be nice to each other.

KTBFFH.
