Social Media Watch: Chelsea Re-Seen, Unseen, custom shin guards and Ladies’ Champions League success

Bonus: awkward dancing from Jody Morris and Erin Cuthbert!

Zero Chelsea matches this week. Ugh, dullsville (unless the international flavor of the game is to your taste, in which case read TMIL’s roundup). But there’s plenty of fresh video on Chelsea’s pleasantly busy YouTube page.

Chelsea Unseen takes us along with the senior team to Leicester for the freezing FA Cup quarter-final. If you went, try looking for yourself (especially if you stood on your seat when Pedro scored), there’s some great singing to be heard in the generous number away support shots. Also, custom shin guards for Marcos Alonso and Willian, both with very personal meaning to them.

There’s also a practice video I wasn’t actually all that keen to watch. Boy, was I wrong...

There’s joyous video behind the scenes of the Ladies’ practice and 2-0 away win over Montpellier in the Champions League, putting them on course for their first ever trip to the semi-finals. Plus a close-up of a Fran Kirby nutmeg. And an interesting ball control drill for the ‘keepers, who kick it into a trampoline and control the rebound on the volley with their body. Good stuff!

Chelsea Re-Seen includes a warm message from Antonio Conte for the bundled-up away fans who braved the frozen north of Leistah, the goals, and the Spanish contingent taking over the singing duties on the bus ride home. Also, the U18s win the first-ever Premier League Cup, 2-0 over Tottenham, in a march to secure four trophies after last season’s treble. And a rather awkward dance off between U18 manager Jody Morris and an equally happy Erin Cuthbert.

And finally, to end on a warm and fuzzy, the ten best goals from Fernando Torres. You’ll never guess what’s number one.

Oh, you did? All the more reason to watch, then!
