Eden Hazard and Reece James up for Player of the Month accolades

Vote! Vote! Vote!

Eden Hazard has been nominated for EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month for the month of February. Quite a mouthful, that. You can vote for your favourite Belgian here.

In February, Chelsea had three Premier League fixtures: Watford (Away), West Brom (Home) and Manchester United (Away). In these three fixtures, Hazard managed to grab an impressive 3 goals and 1 assist (against Manchester United for Willian’s goal). Unfortunately, these performances only helped us get a meager return of 3 points out of the possible 9 points up for grab, as the games against Watford and United resulted in 4-1 and 2-1 losses, respectively.

The other players who are nominated for this accolade are last month’s winner, Sergio Aguero, November’s winner, Mohamed Salah, Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele (not to be confused with many other Dembeles in the world of football), and Brighton duo Pascal Groß and Glen Murray.

Tough competition, so get to voting!

In the Premier League 2 (i.e. the U23s/Reserves), Reece James has been nominated for Player of the Month as well. This it the same honor Callum Hudson-Odoi won last month, so joy all around! James, an 18-year-old versatile defender played in both the games for Chelsea U23 last month, scoring once and helping the club keep two clean sheets, in 1-0 and 4-0 wins against Leicester and Manchester United (away) respectively.

Congrats, Eden & Reece!
