Thursday is finally over but you know what they say, the night is darkest before the dawn. In order to drag us out of our Thursday blues, Chelsea’s YouTube channel have been kind enough to schedule their Chelsea Unseen for Fridays! They’ve also uploaded a Goal of the Month video for February and an Inside Training video on our goalkeepers in the past week. Quality content!
This week’s Chelsea Unseen has lots and lots of training clips from senior and youth teams, both. We begin with some passing drills, move on to goalkeeping drills and finally, we get to see some long-range belters! Two weeks in a row. This time, we have Fabregas, Chalobah (the younger) and Hazard (the older) scoring bangers.
Also, in case you didn’t know, it has snowed in London in the past week and this was briefly shown in the video as well.

The Chelsea official website got into the action as well and took us on a nostalgia trip by posting snow-related Chelsea images from the past, going as far back as a training session held before an FA Cup tie against Peterborough United in 1965. History!
There is also a beautiful picture from 2008, when we traveled to Athens to take on Olympiacos in Champions League and Chelsea found a snow covered Greek Capital, much to their surprise, as it had only snowed there tree times in the previous 26 years.

Moving on, or actually back in time — History! — Chelsea’s twitter account posted a video of the one and only Branislav Ivanović scoring a famous goal at the Etihad against Manchester City, then washing his hair a la a Joe Hart shampoo commercial. Good times with the Branbear, as always.

Last but not the least, our Under-18s destroyed Fulham 6-0 to move into semi-finals of FA Youth Cup with the help of goals from our players with cool double-barreled surnames Martell Taylor-Crossdale (hattrick) and Hudson-Odoi (1 goal). Dujon Sterling also scored but since he has a normal name, you know, not as exciting.
Would love to see highlights for these, but unfortunately can’t find any... so here’s a match report until then.
