Five goals in his first three games for BVB for the Batsman

It’s Michy Batshuayi’s world, Borussia Dortmund are just living in it.

On Thursday, the Chelsea loanee scored two more goals for the Black-and-Yellows, bringing his total to FIVE in just three games since arriving on the final day of the January transfer window. Is it any wonder BVB have already talked their head off about trying to sign him on a permanent basis? (Fortunately, Chelsea included no such provision in the loan contract and while BVB will undoubtedly push for a transfer, Chelsea hold all the cards in this situation.)

In any case, here are Michy’s goals from today, the first an especially impressive rocket of a shot from the top of the box, and the second a more classic poacher’s finish from him after Atalanta failed to clear their lines.

See, he scores more than just tap-ins! Not sure we’ve ever seen such power from him in a Chelsea shirt; amazing what a bit of confidence will do for a player.

Substitute Mario Gotze collected the assist on both of Batshuayi’s striker, but it was the Batsman himself who turned (secondary) provider on BVB’s first, winning the ball in midfield and starting the quick transition with some quality close control and burst of speed through the middle. Andre Schurrle, who’s had a mini-revival since Batshuayi’s arrival, finished well from Lukasz Piszczek’s cross.

So, Borussia Dortmund have three wins from three since Michy replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Since his arrival, he’s scored five goals, assisted one, and collected a secondary assist on the other two that the team has scored. Not bad, not bad at all.

More Bats-flips please.
