Eden Hazard wants to be a Chelsea legend. After 6.5 years, 101 goals, 2 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, and 1 Europa League trophy (plus countless individual awards), he’s well on his way. If he signs his new contract, he’s all but assured of having his name etched in stone in the annals of Chelsea Football Club.
The 27-year-old Hazard (ten days shy of 28) is the tenth player in club history to reach 100 goals, the second “foreign” player to do so, and the second not out-and-out center forward to do as well — obviously the club’s leading goalscorer is a midfielder, but after that it’s a parade of strikers: Tambling, Dixon, Drogba, Bentley, Osgood, Greaves, Mills, Hilsdon ... and now Eden. Then again, if Sarri persists in playing him as a false-9, we might have to re-categorize.
In any case, this is a great compilation of Eden Hazard’s (first) 101 goals for Chelsea by @CFCTV. Enjoy! (Which was then taken down by some copyright claims; booo!)
And here’s to the next 101!
