What Eden Hazard and Chelsea Football Club did for one unfortunate child has me going today.
Every Christmas, Alex Churchill, a.k.a. the Girl Who Likes Balls (she blogs!), runs a fundraiser to buy Christmas presents for kids who are stuck in a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
There aren’t enough characters to say thank you to all my #CFC brethren for helping make this happen! Every year we smash the previous effort @gate17marco @ChelseaFanCast @chelseadaft @CFC_Independent @CFCFoundation @jasoncundy05 @danlevene @henrywinter @Johnnyvaughan pic.twitter.com/w0zkKodShp

It’s a dark time in their lives (and the lives of their mothers).
Chelsea fans have always been generous in their donations and GWLB always has a heart-warming story to tell afterwards.
But this one may top them all.
What follows are two posts from her Twitter account, detailing a quick and personal response from Chelsea and Eden Hazard to her last-minute appeal to brighten, at least a little bit, one little die-hard Chelsea fan’s day.

Truly is great to see the club and its biggest star respond in such a way when they could’ve just ignored the request, or put in the base-minimum token effort.
Chelsea making a positive impact in the community, that’s what we like to see!
Thank you @ChelseaFC and thank you especially to @hazardeden10. You have no idea what this meant to this little boy pic.twitter.com/L53HBrpXdV
