He only needs to brush up on a few things

Things have not gone the way they were supposed to for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi in his Valencia loan spell. While his international form is nothing to scoff at, at club level things have gone in the exact opposite direction. Some rumors had even claimed that Valencia were ready to send him back to Chelsea.

Those stories were outright rejected by Michy during the international break, and now, the most recent reports from Spain are aligning with that as well. According to news outlet Superdeporte, Valencia are ready to give the Chelsea loanee a ‘second chance’ ... but only until the winter transfer window opens (which is the only time he could’ve returned to Chelsea anyway, so maybe the situation is not so different after all).

There are however a few areas in which Michy will need to improve if he wants to make a good second impression. As per Superdeporte’s report, the things he needs to work on are “integration, adaptation, demand and commitment”.

All in all, it sounds like Michy will need to re-calibrate and re-focus if he wants to find success at Valencia. Good luck, Batsman!
