Community player ratings as Chelsea remain unbeaten, but frustrate in a 0-0 draw against Everton

1. ANTONIO RÜDIGER (7.3)

Minutes: 90
Touches: 99
Passes: 83/93

It’s a bit ironic that the consensus loudest man in the dressing room is quietly putting together a consistently good, bordering on excellent season. Only 3 times in his 14 appearances has Rüdiger been rated below a 7.0 — that’s less than anyone else on the team, including even Hazard (4 of 14), Kanté (6 of 16), Alonso (6 of 14), or Azpilicueta (11 of 16). Throw in a couple Man of the Match performances and only one truly bad one (against Manchester City in the Community Shield) and it’s easy to see why Rüdi is the second highest rated player on the season so far, after Hazard.

2. MARCOS ALONSO (7.2)

Minutes: 90
Touches: 84
Passes: 50/54
Shots: 1/3
Take-ons: 1/1
Fouls drawn: 3
Tackles+INTs+Blocks: 2+1+2

Another Mr. Consistent, despite his penchant for being a lightning rod for criticism, Alonso came close to adding to his already impressive goal haul in his 2+ years at Chelsea, but was denied by an excellent Pickford save and then the width of the goalpost. Unlucky.

3. KEPA ARRIZABALAGA (7.1)

Minutes: 90
Touches: 33
Passes: 27/27
Saves: 1

Kepa’s sixth clean sheet in the Premier League, just one behind Alisson and Ederson of Liverpool and Manchester City, respectively. No other goalkeeper has more than four while David De Gea has just one, underlying how important the rest of the team can be to this statistic.
