Other than the constant rumors about his long-term future, it’s been a fantastic first few months to the season for Eden Hazard.
Recently named Premier League Player of the Month for September, Hazard leads not only the team but the entire division in goals scored, while still doing all the usual things like dribbling circles around defenders, winning fouls, and getting kicked a disproportionately great amount.
That latter is sure to be the case again today as Mourinho’s Manchester United roll into town with Ander Herrera likely to get the start, so hopefully the former will follow as well. Hazard himself seems confident enough.
“We are in good form, not just myself but the whole team. We are at the top of the league, we are scoring goals at the moment and we are winning games so now after the international break we want to do the same on Saturday against Manchester United.”
“I have played good games in the past but at the moment the only difference is I am scoring a lot of goals so that is why I think I am better now. This year I am scoring goals and trying to create chances.”

Those positive thoughts are echoed by key summer signing Jorginho, who’s settled in to life in the Premier League without missing a single beat and has allowed new head coach Maurizio Sarri to implement his special brand of tactics efficiently and successfully. Jorginho’s absolutely loving life in London.
“It is a privilege to come here and to play alongside them. I think anyone who plays at Chelsea is a big name player. They are also great people. I am loving it here. I love the club, I love the city. It would be impossible not to love it here.”
“No matter what competition we are playing in, we want to win every game. If we aim to do this, there are no limits to what we can achieve and I hope to have a couple of medals at the end of the season.”

In football however you tend to be only as good as your last result, so now the key is to continue building on this excellent start. Chelsea are well ahead of where most thought we would be at this point in the season. We’re set up to possibly accomplish something special if we can keep focused and keep executing Sarri’s tactics with ever increasing precision and efficiency.
“We had a great month, we had good results, I scored a lot of goals [...] but now I just need to keep going like this, scoring goals, trying to win games and at the end, try to win trophies.”

So say we all.
