The month of December may have featured a couple highly annoying results — a 1-0 loss at West Ham and a 0-0 draw at Everton is no one’s idea of fun — but Chelsea’s results overall were still good enough to earn Antonio Conte his latest nomination for Premier League Manager of the Month. Joining him on the December awards shortlist are Guardiola, Pochettino, Klopp and the two managers who have dragged their teams out of relegation danger, Sam Allardyce at Everton and Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace. Considering that Guardiola has still yet to beaten this season, he’d surely be the front-runner for this award once again.

Chelsea’s good form has also seen left wing-back Marcos Alonso recognized with a nomination for Player of the Month. The field is very strong in this case — Arnautovic, Firmino, Kane, Lingard, Mahrez, Otamendia , so Alonso will likely have to make do with the honor or being nominated.

Last but certainly not least on the December list of nominees is midfielder Danny Drinkwater, whose tremendous goal against Stoke City made the cut. Follow the link below to help him win it — he’s up against Defoe’s Van Basten-esque sharp angle goal, one of Salah’s many strikes, volleys from Doucouré and Özil, and a few other more mundane long-range efforts.
