We may be smarting a bit from Wednesday night’s drama at the Emirates, and ready to make amends and take our revenge in the League Cup starting on Wednesday, but before Chelsea can take on Arsenal again, we have the small matter of the FA Cup third round to contest. And since it’s away from home, out east in relatively remote Norwich, it may not be that small of a matter either.
Regardless, Conte will be expected to rotate his squad, so the question, as ever in these situations, is just how much and whom to rotate. Morata, Kante, Hazard, Alonso, Courtois all seem like obvious candidates, though arguments could be made for others as well, especially if, as expected and hinted at by Conte earlier this week, David Luiz and Charly Musonda Jr. are ready to finally return from their respective injuries. Should that happen, Conte would have a fully healthy squad at his disposal!
We do not expect the likes of Baba Rahman (back training, but still recovering from his knee injury) and Kasey Palmer (back from loan, but probably ready for another one) to be available for selection.
