Chelsea may be keeping clean sheets left, right, and center, but what’s setting the tone of these player ratings is the lack of goals at the other end of the pitch, where the Blues have ran into a serious power outage and have now gone six straight halves without scoring.
As we’ve learned over the years, player ratings reflect sentiment much more than actual performances — even if we consider such ratings objective rather than subjective in the first place — and sentiment is running rather negative nowadays.
So keep that in mind as we run through ratings from the last two games, only one of which actually featured a bit of luck in keeping a clean sheet (thanks, Leicester!).
CHELSEA 0-0 ARSENAL, LEAGUE CUP: PLAYER RATINGS

AVERAGE (6.0-6.9): Rüdiger (6.9), Kanté (6.9), Courtois (6.8), Christensen (6.5), Alonso (6.3), Moses (6.2), Fàbregas (6.0)

Azpilicueta gets a Man of the Match nod here, with Rüdiger and Kanté rounding out the top three.
CHELSEA 0-0 LEICESTER CITY, PREMIER LEAGUE: PLAYER RATINGS
At 5.37, easily one of the lowest overall ratings of the season (5th lowest, in fact), just barely edging out the ennui of Norwich City. There are some very important names occupying the lowest rungs of the ratings ladder in this one.
EXCEPTIONAL (9.0+): —
EXCELLENT (8.0-8.9): —
GOOD (7.0-7.9): Courtois (7.5)
AVERAGE (6.0-6.9): Christensen (6.5, sub), Azpilicueta (6.1), Willian (6.1, sub), Kanté (6.0)
