Since the start of the summer, we’ve talked regularly about trying to avoid a repeat of 2015-16 season as much as possible. Antonio Conte himself got in on that act by specifically calling out the need to avoid a “Mourinho season”. And despite a few hiccups in the transfer window and an absolutely atrocious first 45 minutes to the season, we’ve so far done a pretty good job at doing just that.
But now, just like Mourinho in 2015, Antonio Conte has collected some sort of award from British GQ. It’s all over now. In two months, Conte will be talking about players betraying his work and Emenalo will once again talk about ‘the individual’ and ‘palpable discord’. Good times!

In all seriousness, congrats to Antonio, the Tailor of Stamford Bridge. May this be the first of many dubious awards he gets to win as Chelsea head coach!
In bonus Antonio Conte content, here’s the boss showing off at training today. Yep, he’s still got it! Maybe we should’ve registered him for the Champions League since the squad has an open non-homegrown spot.
Nicely done, boss! pic.twitter.com/9yy2cnQB8n
