Following Wednesday night’s win over second division side Nottingham Forest in the third round of the League Cup, Chelsea will face slightly tougher opposition in the fourth round. It will be yet another home game for the Blues, this time against the familiar crew from the blue half of Liverpool, whom we already beat once this season at Bridge.
The fourth round match will be played the week of October 23, following a home game against Watford the previous weekend and an away trip to Bournemouth afterwards.
With no major upsets happening in the third round, the fourth round draw was full of big names and possible glamour ties — though outside of our game and Spurs vs. West Ham, we didn’t really get any of them. The draw in full is as follows:
Bristol City vs. Crystal Palace
Tottenham vs. West Ham United
Arsenal vs. Norwich City
Chelsea vs. Everton
Manchester City vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
Swansea City vs. Manchester United
AFC Bournemouth vs. Middlesbrough
Leicester City vs. Leeds United
