Ugh. Not great.
A point is better than no points, I suppose.
There will be better days.
But this was disappointing, to be sure.
Carefree.
- Conte surprised a few with his lineup choices, including Fabregas in the middle of the 3-4-3, but he rectified that with a half-time sub, adding Bakayoko (for Pedro) and switching to a 3-5-2. First half-time sub ever by Conte at Chelsea?
- Fabregas played a Pirlo-esque role for most of the second half
- Arsenal’s goal right called well offside; Chelsea well in control in the second half.
- Not great officiating from Oliver, but the bicycle kick in a crowd will usually get a call, and these days a yellow. That debate, in general, will no doubt continue on for a while.
- Third straight game against Arsenal with a red card. LOL? David Luiz will miss Nottingham Forest, Stoke City, and Manchester City. Time to shine, Andreas Christensen.
- Next up: Nottingham Forest in the League Cup on Wednesday.
- KTBFFH.
