Chelsea wonderkid Charly Musonda Jr hints at playing against Qarabag FC in Champions League

Hype intensifying

The summer of 2012 was a momentous time at Chelsea Football Club: Champions of Europe, club legend as head coach, signing the most coveted young talent in all of Europe. Eden Hazard’s arrival in the SW6 made waves, but the acquisition of César Azpilicueta later that summer has proven just as important and while Oscar didn’t quite pan out as hoped for, the club did turn him into 60 million shiny coins to use on Álvaro Morata.

And that summer could prove even more impactful if Andreas Christensen and Charly Musonda Jr, both armed with first-team numbers this season, develop into first-team regulars, as expected. The former is back in the fold after two impressive seasons out on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach, and the latter, despite battling a few nagging injury concerns, has also made two brief cameos in the five games this season, his first two appearances for Chelsea. Now, if his Instagram is any indication, he could be in line for something even greater.

Five years in the making, It's almost time to make waves in this special kit... @ChelseaFc

“Five years in the making, It's almost time to make waves in this special kit...” reads the caption and while Charly has made a habit of posting things on social media that eventually needed deleting, perhaps he is indeed hinting at a start against Qarabag on Tuesday? That could be fun!
