Chelsea’s Spanish contingent shows off juggling skills, plus other behind the scenes action on tour

It’s Friday so it’s Chelsea Unseen time, and this week’s episode is relatively massive at almost 7.5 minutes, though there is some fairly old footage at the end including stuff from China featuring Pedro before he got literally knockout out of the preseason tour by Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.

There’s also a rehash of some of the Marcos Alonso juggling skills (part of some Nike event) that we had seen separately. Alonso is just one part of Chelsea’s sizable Spanish contingent these days and there are lovely shots of new signing Álvaro Morata making his pre-season debut as well as showing off some juggling kills of his own. In fact, the little circle with him, Fàbregas, Azpilicueta, and Caballero (not quite Spanish but at least Spanish-speaking) is perhaps the most impressive part of this week’s behind the scenes footage ... although I did enjoy the “pole-cam” of a fast-paced passing drill.

Fun stuff as usual.

On a related note, Chelsea released this video featuring a Shaolin monk and a quartet of eager apprentices yesterday. Sadly, this one is far too short. Needs to be about ten times longer, at least.
