Over the weekend, on the way back from the PNW to NorCal, I binge-listened, finally, the S-Town Podcast.
I had listened to the first episode when it was new and it didn't really grab my attention, but then ep.2 takes a rather unexpected turn and while it ostensibly becomes far less interesting, it actually becomes immensely intriguing and fascinating and more just like a really well told story.
Each of the seven, hour-long episodes is played out by The Zombies' "A Rose for Emily". It's been stuck in my head for two straight days.
But noooooone for you...
The song itself is based on the short story of the same name by William Faulkner. There are certainly plenty of paralllels you can draw between that story and the real-life story told by the podcast.
You should listen, if you haven't (since I'm technically late to this party by a few months).
