Eden Hazard begins long ‘lonely journey to full fitness’

Good news on Eden Hazard this week as the Chelsea star’s cast has come off and he’s ready to begin the road to full recovery. As he puts it on his Instagram post, it’s going to be a “lonely” journey — awww — but hopefully we’ll keep him good company during it and he will be out there with the rest of the squad on the training pitch sooner rather than later. (Maybe this is also why we’re wanting to take him along for the Tour of Asia, to make him feel part of the team even if he cannot play.)

A good week, my cast is off, now the lonely journey to full fitness! #cfc #hardwork

Hazard’s not expected to be back for another two months or so, and is set to miss at least the first three games of the season (Burnley, Spurs away, and Everton). Fortunately, broken bones tend to heal better than ligaments, so hopefully Hazard comes back even stronger to help us try to defend our Premier League title.

Hashtag-hardwork. Work work work!

(P.S. Where did you get them shoes, Eddie?)
